Proverbs 21
21:19 "It is better to live in a desert land Than with a contentious and vexing woman." Probably the most unattractive thing a wife can do is to nag her husband. Verse 9 says, "It is better to live in a corner of a roof Than in a house shared with a contentious woman." Most women are longing for a deep communicative relationship with their husbands; yet, nothing will send him emotionally packing like constant nagging. Prov 27:15-16 is similar, "A constant dripping on a day of steady rain And a contentious woman are alike; He who would restrain her restrains the wind, And grasps oil with his right hand."
21:31 "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But victory belongs to the LORD."We need to prepare ourselves to battle for the Lord, to be ready to answer his call, to be sensitive to the Spirit. We need to "study to show ourselves approved" and "always be ready to give a defense..." We need to prepare - and part of that is pre-prayer, get our hearts right before we are in the midst of the battle. When we have done that, "no weapon formed against us will prosper." Ultimately, the victory is the Lord, but we have a responsibility to be prepared.
Lord, help us to not be nagging and contentious when dealing with our spouse, family or others. Help us to follow through and do what needs to be done, so that we are vessels, ready to be used by You.

proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.
I would do well to ALWAYS remember this. Many times I think I am going through some trial and that this couldn't possibly have been the Lord's plan, once I'm through that crisis I can see where the Lord was leading or what changes he was trying to bring about. I'm always grateful for the result, even though the path getting there has been agony. I sometimes will think thoughts of "the enemy's attack" and I would still do well to remember this verse, because no one's plan can succeed against the Lord. the Lord allows things into my life for a purpose. This scripture is bringing peace into my heart today, as I am feeling a little sad to be away from all of you, and we have no idea what God wants to do with us here. As we sought the Lord for the past year, this was the path he gave us and even when we begged him to bring us back to all of you; he shut the doors to come back as we tried to shove them open, and he opened doors here. Even as I cry in the missing ccwb family, I have peace in knowing that this is HIS PLAN. Lord, I lay down my brokenness before you and trust in your plans. You know better than I, so I surrender yet another thing to you during this challenge, my tender heart, my emotions, and my tears. May you be glorified in my desire to let you have complete control of me.
Pro 21:13 He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be answered...Another reminder that ALL people matter to God and that we should help those in need when possible.
Pro 21:23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue, Guards his soul from troubles...Similar to a verse from a few days ago. Our mouths/tongues realy let others know how we feel. It is so easy just to let fly what's on your mind without thinking it thru. I pray for wisdom in this area.
